My creative journey started when my children were young. As a busy mum in Kent, I discovered my love for face painting, finding joy in transforming imagination into smiles. This creative spark led me down an unexpected path - first volunteering as a Teaching Assistant, then becoming a fully qualified SEN TA, where I saw firsthand how creativity could light up a child's world.
The original vision for Thunder Lizard was born from a love of dinosaurs and children's entertainment. My first creations were dinosaur-themed toys and clothing, designed to bring prehistoric fun to playtime. While my personalised gift range has grown far beyond those first reptilian designs, that same sense of wonder and playfulness remains at the heart of everything I make.
Every Thunder Lizard item is born in my workshop - a converted log cabin in my garden that's become a haven of creativity. Using vinyl and sublimation techniques, I personally design, create, and perfect each piece in Kent, UK. From bespoke clothing to personalised school bags, cuddly plush toys to custom mugs, everything is made with the same attention to detail I'd want for my own family.
Quality isn't just a promise - it's a passion. Every handcrafted item is triple-checked before leaving my Kent workshop, and I'll be honest - I'm a bit of a perfectionist! Sometimes I'll remake something three or four times until I'm completely happy with it. Each creation is carefully wrapped like a gift, because I believe the unboxing should be just as special as what's inside.
